The Network-Data drive contains two identical disk drives that are mirrored, or exact copies of each other.
To backup the data, one of the drives is swapped with an identical drive kept in the safe. This forces the unit to re-synchronize the data from the master copy to the newly inserted drive. The drive that is removed now contains the latest version of all the data up to the point it was removed.
Power down the Network-Data drive by holding the power button until it flashes, then wait for it to shut down.
Open the unit by sliding the front face up to expose the two disk drives.
Remove the right-hand drive (as facing the unit) which is labeled NETWORK BACKUP A or B.
Pull the lever on the back of the unit behind the drive to eject it.
Replace with the backup drive from the safe.
Replace the front cover and press the power button.
When the lights stop flashing, sure both disk lights on the font are blue.
If the new drive light is orange, that means it is defective, and you will need to replace it with a new drive.
Open a browser one of the laptops and go to http://192.168.1.103

Follow the instructions to format and re-sync the new drive.
To see the status of the synchronization go to the Status page and look for the Sync Time Remaining in the HARDWARE DRIVE section.
You can continue to use the network drive while it it is synchronizing.
The only exception to storing personal data on the Network-Data drive are files that are too slow to operate over the network.
Currently there is only one set of stored on the main laptop:
ACDSee Database at: C/Users/Public/Pictures/ACDCDatabase
These very important files need to be backed to the Network Drive manually.
