Connects printers that are not Google Cloud Print enabled to use the cloud printer services.
Currently there is only one printer that uses this device:
Brother Duplex Printer
The Lantronix xPrintServer Cloud Print Edition makes USB and network printers Google Cloud Print ready, enabling instant wireless printing of photos, email, web pages and documents from Google Cloud Print enabled phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. It eliminates the need to use complicated apps, or email yourself items to print. And more importantly, you don't need to buy a new printer.
As long as the printer is supported by the xPrintServer, there is no requirement that a PC be involved, at all, for the purpose of sharing printers. The initial registration of the printers involves logging onto your Google account to confirm the registration of the printers. Once they are registered, though, the PC or any other host is not required to print.
