The screen frame is designed to be assembled relatively quickly by two people.
The screen frame is stored disassembled under the deck on the right, and consists of:
2 x 12 ft vertical posts
2 x 12 ft horizontal cross beams
3 x 5 ft vertical stabilizer cross beams
The screen surface is rolled up and stored in the closet at the bottom of the stairs.
The assembly kit is in a blue bag in the shed.
Assembling the Frame
Lay the frame parts out on the ground with the velcro face up and the legs pointing towards the house.
Align the frame posts roughly with the two center posts on the deck
Connect the top and bottom cross beams together with the three vertical connectors.
Secure the top and bottom beams with the short tension cable.
Carefully connect the cross-assembly to the left and right posts.
Secure the center assembly to the posts with the two long tension cables.
Position the assembly horizontally on the ground so that the top of the screen is aligned where the vertical screen will stand.
While the assembled frame is on the ground, use two people to unroll and attach the screen surface to the frame.
Setting up the Frame
Attach three long support lines to the top ring on each post.
Set a peg into the ground on either side aligned with the top of the frame, about 6-8 feet away from the side posts.
Set two more pegs on either side about 4-6 feet in front and 4-6 feet behind the center peg.
Thread the support lines through the six pegs but leave the lines loose.
Using two people, lift the frame vertical bringing the bottom of the posts to where the top laid on the ground.
Position the screen so that it is aligned with the center pegs.
While one person keeps the frame vertical, the other person gradually tightens the support lines to the six pegs, until it is stable.
Secure the screen to the frame using the 8 short lines.
Connecting the Speakers
Connect the speaker wires to the 2 front speakers.
Connect the 2 front speakers to the left and right posts.
Connect the RCA cable to the Left or Right input on the sub-woofer.
Plug the sub-woofer into the extension power cable.
Position the sub-woofer on the square wooden board below the center of the screen.
Connect the speaker wire to the center speaker.
Position the center speaker on the small holder on top of the sub-woofer.
Note: Without the small stand the center speaker will slip off the sub-woofer during the movie!
