All our real passwords are stored in a secure encrypted online service called LastPass.
We each have an account, and our master account names and passwords are handwritten in the Emergency Envelope in the Main Safe.
They should never be typed up and kept on a computer system anywhere.
Generally passwords are organized into these levels of security:
Financial: High Security
Use this when the website stores our financial data or has access to our credit card information online. (Example: Scotiabank, PayPal)
The website uses secure transactions for logon and data entry.
You should see HTTPS at the start of the web address and a Lock symbol:
Trusted Secure Websites: Medium Security
Where the website may store personal information but no credit card info.
The website uses secure transactions for logon and data entry.

Unsecure Website Accounts: Low Security
Where the website is just an account and minimal or no personal information.
The website typically does not use secure transactions. (No Lock symbol)
Networks: For use with the home wireless network
Where we need to acces our own network in a secured way.
