The Network Drive is where our music and photos are stored.
This data is also duplicated as a further backup onto the Cloud Data Server (CloudForest)
All other data is now stored in the cloud in our various Google Drive accounts.

The D-Link DNS-323 network data is a special device called Network Attached Storage (NAS) that currently contains a total 1TB of usable space. (= 1000 GB or 1,000,000 MB). It operates only over the home Local Area Network via an ethernet cable, or via wireless using the network named GlenLAN.
A NAS device is essentially a self-contained computer connected to a network, with the sole purpose of supplying file-based data storage services to other devices on the network. The operating system (firmware) provide the functionality of data storage, file systems, and access to files, and the management of these functionalities.
The Network Drive is the only place data is backed up from to the external drives kept in the safe.
All local data on the two laptops is ignored for backups.
